Rocket Popsicle Nail Art featuring HARE Polish Married to the Monarchy

Tuesday, July 2, 2013

July 4th is just around the corner so I thought I would celebrate in style with some nail art. I wanted something red, white, and blue but nothing too traditional. I was also inspired by the beauty of rocket popsicles that everyone loves in the summer. I saw my HARE polish Married to the Monarchy and knew I could make the perfect mani! I went with a lighter blue because of the popsicles and the lighter tone of blue (almost teal) in Married to the Monarchy. This is one of my first attempts at a sponge gradient and I am very pleased with the way it turned out. I used some random drugstore polishes for the red, white, and blue gradient and followed The Nailasarus' gradient tutorial. I finished off the gradient with some Seche Vite and one coat of INM Nothern Lights (a gorgeously delicate holographic top coat). I am in love to say the least. Have a great day wherever you are --- peace, love and popsicles!
