Lynnderella Magic Fairy Stars over Takko Wanderlust

Have you ever seen such a magic combination? Takko Wanderlust is one of the prettiest polishes I've ever laid eyes on and I had the idea to add Lynnderella Magic Fairy Stars... the outcome is magical. I don't know if I have much to say about this manicure other than I loved it, it's witchy yet elegant and cute... and NANO FREAKING STARS. Hands down my favorite type of glitter, ever.

Lynnderella polishes can be purchased on eBay or Storenvy. Magic Fairy Stars is an exclusive polish, only available to Glitter Fairies on Facebook. Takko Lacquer is available in their online shop.

Lynnderella Mint to Be! over You Pink of Mint!

Hello again! Here is yet another Lynnderella for your enjoyment. Mint to Be! is an older Lynn that is no longer available except through blog sales and sales groups. I have layered it over Lynnderella You Pink of Mint! and the combination is just perfect. Because this is an older polish, it was really thick and hard to work with. For some reason, the addition of top coat made everything wrinkly and weird which is just too bad. This polish is packed with glitter of all shapes and sizes in pinks, mints, green and white. So pretty, such a classic!

Lynnderella polishes can be purchased on eBay or Storenvy

Fiendish Fancies Horror-ible Holidays Collection

Monday has officially become Fiendish Fancies day here at Streets Ahead Style. On this fine Monday we have the Horror-ible Holidays Collection inspired by horrific Halloween and Christmas films. This is a collection of fall mattes.

For all of the swatches, I used 3 coats and no top coat to preserve the matte finishes. These polishes apply amazingly well for mattes. While each coat is very thin, they all build nicely and dry quickly. I had no issues with streaking and the matte finishes are TO DIE FOR.

F.5-01: Always Check Your Candy is a Pumpkin orange matte shimmer, inspired by the cutest Samhain demon.

F.5-02: Famous Murder Ride is a Fiery red matte, inspired by Captain Spaulding’s Museum of Monsters and Mayhem.

F.5-03: The Blackest Eyes is an Inky Blue matte, inspired by Michael Myers’ stained coveralls, and the darkness within.

F.5-04: Just Like Having a Wart Removed is a Rich brown matte shimmer, inspired by brunettes in cozy winter sweaters, and my favorite final girl.

F.5-05: Wanna Play? is a Mustard yellow matte, inspired by Andy’s Good Guys gift.

F.5-06: Never Feed Him After Midnight is a Forest Green matte shimmer, inspired by the thousand ugly monsters created from a midnight snack.

These polishes are now available in the Fiendish Fancies shop as individual bottles or a set. You can follow Fiendish Fancies on Facebook and Instagram for updates and more swatches from other bloggers. *Products were provided for our honest review.*

Lynnderella You Pink of Mint!

Long time no posts, readers! Life at the Streets Ahead home has been hectic to say the least. Between job-hunting, school, caring for family, interviews, etc... the blog has been neglected. But, here we are with a gorgeous Lynnderella shimmer polish (aka Shimmerella) called You Pink of Mint!

You Pink of Mint! is a described as a pink-, red- and green-shimmered pastel mint creme with a pink glow. Accented with iridescent pink flakes. It is designed as layering polish with the intention of maximizing shimmer. Well, we don't follow rules so I wore this on it's own in 3 coats with top coat. Personally, it's so elegant and ethereal on its own, I can't imagine layering it. Very fresh and it would work well in spring or wintertime.

Lynnderella polishes can be purchased on eBay or Storenvy. I believe this is no longer available but it might pop up one or two more times for auction.
