I've got more Girly Bits to share with you today! This time it's the July CoTM polishes which, while no longer available directly from the Girly Bits Cosmetics website, will soon be available from Harlow & Co.! So if you fall in love with either or both of these and didn't grab them in July, you still have a chance.
Girly Bits Mermaid of Honour is a bright turquoise with an aqua glow and a heavy pink/purple shifting shimmer, scattered holo and holo micro glitter. I can't even express how perfectly mermaid-y this polish is. I am wearing 2 super easy, super smooth coats plus top coat. This polish is so smooth even with the microglitter but top coat really perfects the finish.
Girly Bits Sand of a Beach is a champagne/light gold holo and glitter mix, in a semi sheer base. According to the description, opacity can be reached in three coats, or it makes a nice dense topper over jewel tones. I am wearing three thin coats plus top coat. I would suggest two thick layers of top coat because this is a glitter and will dry gritty. This is SO sparkly and so reminiscent of sand on a beautiful tropical beach. I will have to try this layered over another polish sometime and report back. I imagine it would be beautiful but it's really gorgeous on its own.
These two polishes might be the most beach-perfect lacquers to ever grace my nails. I'm honestly in awe of both of these shades but Mermaid of Honour is some kind of magic. It's the perfect nail polish for those who dream of being a mermaid or anyone who loves aqua. I couldn't stop staring at my nails while I wore this - it's breathtaking.
Sand of a Beach is absolutely stunning too. It's got so much going on which makes it fun to look at. It reminds me of the white sand at Sandbanks Provincial Park in Prince Edward County, ON. I love how well it built up and how the shimmer comes through - it's pinky and golden. Just beautiful.
