Provided for review

I love shiny nails and, of course, I love when my nail polish stays looking good for days and days. I was really excited to try some of the new Essie Gel Couture polishes from the Enchanted Collection.

essie Gel Couture Good Knight review

essie Gel Couture Good Knight review

When I saw Essie Gel Couture Good Knight, I knew it was the shade I would do the wear test with. It's a long wear, midnight mahogany red and it's beautiful. I think it might be my new favorite dark red and it's SO SHINY! Incredibly so. As the photos show, I only wore this for 4 days because I had more polishes to try but I think it held up well. Just some tip wear and the shine dulled down a bit but overall I was impressed with the performance.

The Essie Gel Couture system is simply two coats of colour and one layer of the Gel Couture top coat. It dried quickly and was incredibly shiny. The application is amazing because of the rounded tip brush. It's a great brush and it makes for a salon-perfect manicure at home in under 15 minutes.

essie Gel Couture Princess Charming review

Above I am wearing Essie Gel Couture Princess Charming, a long wear, rose mauve accented with subtle nutmeg. Also gorgeous and perfect for that pinky nude nail (with my skin tone).

essie Gel Couture Once Upon a Time review

This icy blue with slate tones is Essie Gel Couture Once Upon A Time and it's also a lovely shade. And lastly, below, is a rare appearance from my other half (Riley, my sister) wearing Essie Gel Couture Matter of Fiction, a blush pink spun with blue undertones. Riley had to use three coats of colour for this one as it was quite thin and streaky. It looks lovely though!

Which of these four is your favorite? Have you ever tried the Essie Gel Couture system?

You can find Essie Treat Love & Colour in Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix.
