It's your lucky day because I have another April Polish Pickup creation to share with you today! This one is from Girly Bits Cosmetics and as soon as it warmed up from being in the cold mailbox... I had to get it right on my nails.
Girly Bits Felt With the Heart ($13 USD, 15 mL) is a sparkling turquoise foil-like finish, with an abundance of holographic pigments, gold flakes, blue flakes, and green-blue-gold colour shifting flakes. This polish is 5-Free, cruelty free and vegan-friendly.
I am wearing two coats plus one layer of Girly Bits Glitter Glaze to smooth it all out and seal in the shine. While this is loaded with flakes and has a foil-y finish, it dries down pretty smooth and the top coat smoothed it perfectly. I recommend thin coats to avoid dragging since it is so densely packed with components. I had no issues with application, however. It seemed really sheer after one coat and then... BAM... opaque! Also, I haven't yet mentioned that this is GORGEOUS and reminds me of a cosmic intergalactic mermaid. What more could you ask for?
There will be a cap. Tentatively set at 250.
The theme for April is Across the Universe: Planets & Galaxies. Pam created a polish inspired by The Little Prince, a lovely story about learning the importance of looking beneath the surface to find the real truth and meaning of things. This book teaches us to see with our heart instead of just with our eyes. This inspiration is absolutely beautiful and so is the nail polish. Pam's inspiration picture is below in the collage.
Each month Polish Pickup will bring you a variety of polishes, nail care and nail art items from indie makers based on a theme voted on by you. Indie makers can pick-up and join any month they please, and all are welcome.
Shop is live the first Friday, 11 AM EST (April 6, 2017), of each month and stays open for four days, through the following Monday (April 9, 2017) at Midnight EST. This is the ONLY time frame in which the monthly polishes will be available for purchase.
All products are pre-ordered and will ship a minimum of 3 weeks after sale commencement. Polish Pickup ships for a flat fee of $3 in the US and $5 to Canada. International shipping is now available at cost. Polish Pickup will combine orders placed over the 4 day sale period.
