My favorite Friday of the month is fast-approaching... the Polish Pickup! The theme for May is so awesome because it's the 1990s! I was a wee child in the 90s and I hold many fond, brightky coloured memories from that time. Pam of Girly Bits Cosmetics chose a super awesome inspiration for her polish so let's check it out.
Here's what Pam has to say about her polish for May: "The theme at Polish Pickup for May is the 90’s, and I was inspired by In Living Color which was a sketch comedy show created by the Wayans brothers that really pushed the censorship boundaries and launched so many careers. From the Fly Girls, to the zany characters such as Homey D Clown, The Head Detective, Wanda Wayne, Vera Di Milo, and the Men of Film, there was nothing else quite like it, but we all wanted to be a Fly Girl!!"
Girly Bits All the Wayans Back in the 90's ($13 USD, 15 mL) is a purple base, with a strong pink to blue to turquoise shifting shimmer, a scattering of holo flakes and iridescent colour shifting flakes in orange, pink, and gold. This polish is 5 Free, cruelty free, and vegan friendly. No cap.
I am wearing two coats plus top coat. This built up so perfectly. I sound like a broken record but it's the amazing Girly Bits formula we all know and love. It smooths with just one coat of QDTC and the shimmer and holo are out of this world! I really love the iridescent colour shifting flakes in here. They peek out every now and then.
If you are not familiar with the Polish Pickup, here is a run-down: Each month Polish Pickup will bring you a variety of polishes, nail care and nail art items from indie makers based on a theme voted on by you. Indie makers can pick-up and join any month they please, and all are welcome.
Shop is live the first Friday, 11 AM EST of each month and stays open for four days, through the following Monday at Midnight EST. This is the ONLY time frame in which the monthly polishes will be available for purchase.
All products are pre-ordered and will ship a minimum of 3 weeks after sale commencement. Polish Pickup ships for a flat fee of $3 in the US and $5 to Canada. International shipping is now available at cost. Polish Pickup will combine orders placed over the 4 day sale period. This will happen automatically when shipping begins and you will then receive your shipping overage refunds.
