We're less than 4 weeks to Indie Expo Canada (IEC) 2018! I had such a blast last year and I will be back again this year presenting on Saturday, June 9 (all about blogging!) and shopping on Sunday, June 10. Today, I have the LE and Exclusive from Paint It Pretty Polish, a new-to-me Canadian indie brand!
I first met Sherri, the maker behind Paint It Pretty Polish, at the inaugural Indie Expo and she was dreaming of vending in 2018... and it looks like all her hard work paid off because she will have a table at Indie Expo where she will be selling her pretty polishes. Just a fun little fact, there is currently a naming thread up in the Paint It Pretty Polish Fans Facebook group for the silver and blue. It's open until May 18th and whoever suggests the name that Sherri chooses for each of these will win a bottle!
First up is the Paint It Pretty IEC Exclusive ($12 CAD, 15 mL) (Paint It Pretty Blew Me Away at IEC) which is described as a blue with a pink shimmer and some beautiful colour shifting aurora pigment. It is the event exclusive so you have to be at Indie Expo in order to get one. I am wearing three coats plus top coat. The formula was nice and built up well for full opacity. The shifting flakes in here are a really nice addition and it's a gorgeous bright blue. Really fun and pretty! In the last photo, you can see the shimmer and shift.
Now, let's take a look at the Event LE!
The Paint It Pretty Polish IEC LE ($11 CAD, 15 mL) (Paint It Pretty Polish Bling Up Your Life at IEC) is a silver holographic with sparks of blue, green, purple and red. This is a limited edition polish releasing at Indie Expo Canada and any extras will be up on the website afterwards for purchase but only until the end of July. I am wearing four coats plus top coat. This one builds up nicely too and those sparks of blue, green, purple and red really pop. This is a very ethereal polish - very light and delicate.
At Indie Expo Canada, Paint It Pretty Polish will also have a Tetris inspired neon collection releasing at IEC for $10 each or the whole set for $100. This will include seven bright neons: pink, watermelon red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. Along with five bright neons with colour shifting shimmers.
Any other colours Paint It Pretty is bringing are $10 each or 5 for $45 (IEC special only). Sherri will have a shopping list by May 18 in the Facebook group so you can make your wish lists! Here is a copy of the wishlist if you're looking to plan your shopping:
Sherri will have a minimal amount of thermals but customers are welcome to email any requests. Include your name and the colours in the email and she will hold the polishes behind the table for customers to pick up.
