Have you ever wondered what your mermaid name would be... you know, if you were ever a mermaid? Mine would be Neith Pacifica according to the internet. It just so happens that all of the nail polishes in the upcoming BLUSH Lacquers Sea Water Shimmers Part II Collection are named after the mermaid names of members in the BLUSH Beauties group on Facebook. Serving as the brand's Fall collection, the Sea Water Shimmers Part II Collection is a sequel collection to BLUSH Lacquer's popular "Sea Water Shimmers Collection" released in 2016. It is a moody palette of dusty base colors with bright sparkling shimmers, much like how Victoria imagined mermaid tales to look against murky waters.
I am so excited to be sharing this 7-piece set of moody shimmers which will be available Friday, November 9 at 7 PM EST on the BLUSH Lacquers website, Color4Nails and Hypnotic Polish. Customers who purchase the full collection from the BLUSH website during the Pre-Black Friday Sale (November 9 at 7 PM EST through November 12 at 11:55 PM EST) will receive Talise Tempest, a special GWP (gift with purchase) polish.
The first polish I am sharing (in no particular order) is BLUSH Lacquers Marin Bering, which is described as a dusty dark mauve pink base with an orange to gold shifting shimmer and shifts of green at extreme angles. This one is a sister polish to BLUSH Lacquers Fin Swirl from the original Sea Water Shimmers Collection from 2016. Both polishes are in a similar color family but the base in Marin Bering is lighter and the shimmer is brighter. I am wearing two coats plus top coat. The formula was super easy to work with and dried very quickly. I absolutely LOVE the BLUSH brush because it's rounded at the tip and one stroke paints my entire nail. I love it so much in combination with the perfect formula... C'est magnifique!
BLUSH Lacquers Esme Cove is a dusty purple base with a blue to purple shifting shimmer and shifts of red at extreme angles. The purple is just so beautiful and glowy. I am wearing three coats of this one and it was the sheerest in the collection. The formula was a bit thinner than the others but completely perfect and effortless. This is stunning for a purple lover.
BLUSH Lacquers Gemma Atlas is a dusty lavender base with a green shimmer that shifts to red at extreme angles. This is also a sister polish to another OG Sea Water Shimmer polish, Marina Azure; they are in a similar color family but the base is lighter and the shimmer is brighter. I absolutely love this one with the contrasting shimmer in the lavender base. My, my, my! I am wearing two coats plus top coat. Flawless application like every other polish here.
BLUSH Lacquers Calliope Pacifica is a taupe grey base with a pink to orange shifting shimmer and shifts of gold at extreme angles. Another stunner! I don't know what Victoria did with these polishes but the shimmers in them are practically electric. In this one specifically, the shimmer looks lit from within and it is practically 4D. Two coats plus top coat, easy peasy application.
BLUSH Lacquers Theodora Delphine is a sage base with a bronze-y pink to gold to green shifting shimmer and shifts of teal at extreme angles. My dear friend Natalie (of Natalie's Nails) named this one so maybe I should start calling her Theodora Delphine from now on :P This is such an elegant polish and the shimmer is so perfect against the sage base. Two coats plus top coat.
BLUSH Lacquers Ocean Moonbeam is a dusty dark teal base with a blue to purple shifting shimmer and shifts of red and gold at extreme angles. This totally reminds me of the ocean at night. Moody and dark. I am wearing two coats plus top coat and the shimmer in this one is a bit more scattered than in some of the others which gives it a really cool effect. Like the moon reflecting off the water.
BLUSH Lacquers Vanora Horizon is an olive toned lime base with a pink to orange shifting shimmer and shifts of gold at extreme angles. This one is a sister polish to BLUSH Lacquers Nerida Singer. They are in a similar color family but the base of Vanora Horizon is lighter and the shimmer is brighter. And I can attest to the brightness of this shimmer - it is awesome against the green base! Wow! Two coats of polish perfection and top coat. This reminds me of juicy granny smith apples!
