The theme for Polish Pickup this month is Works of Art. The theme is a revisiting of the original Polish Pickup theme from April 2017. I actually purchased from that very first PPU - I believe I got the Girly Bits, Darling Diva, Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer and Ellagee. Believe it or not, there were only about 20 brand participating back then. Now it's over 100 each month! Girly Bits was there for the OG PPU release and she is back again with Not Waterlilies.
While skimming works of art for inspiration, Pam came upon the wonderful lithograph above by Sunol Alvar, and she immediately thought of a polish that she had sitting in her arsenal of prototypes for a while. Pam added some blue colour shifting flakes to the original prototype and behold... Girly Bits Not Waterlilies.
Below are some photos of Girly Bits Not Waterlillies layered over Girly Bits Sea You Next Fall (on my index and middle fingers) and black (ring and pinky fingers). This is just a single coat and it totally transforms the polish!
Each month, The Pickups will bring you a variety of polishes and handmade items from indie makers based on a theme chosen by customers. Girly Bits Not Waterlilies is a sheer cyan blue base with amazing copper to green colour shifting shimmer, and blue to aqua colour shifting iridescent flakes. This polish has a sheer finish (which is intentional because sheer polishes are having a bit of a moment right now and I am totally here for it) and it looks best in three coats on its own or layered over black for a totally different effect. I've also tried it over a complimentary teal base (Girly Bits Sea You Next Fall) and it looks gorgeous that way too. My favorite way to wear it is on its own for that shimmery, shifty sheer look.
Girly Bits Not Waterlilies will be $13 USD, it is 5-Free and cruelty free and will have a cap of 400 bottles sold.

All products are pre-ordered (capped or uncapped) and will ship a minimum of 3 weeks after sale commencement. The Pickups ship for a flat fee of $3 in the US and $5 to Canada. Shipping to European countries is available through The Pickups UK website. The Pickups will combine orders placed over the four day sale period. This will happen automatically when shipping begins and you will then receive your shipping overage refunds.
