Thermal nail polish is certainly having a moment. I love how indie nail polish makers just keep amping up the game. At first it was thermals shifting between two colours and now we are seeing tri-thermals! Who doesn't want three polishes in one?! The KBShimmer Suns Out Collection consists of nine tri-thermal polishes with aurora shimmer that flashes from copper to pinkish-red to
golden green while a few polishes feature a flashy blue aurora shimmer. And the shimmer in these polishes is intense! It does not shy away. These colours are screaming Summer and they easily put a smile on my face as I was wearing them.

KBShimmer Aft Backwards is a tri-thermal polish that starts as a deep midnight shade accented by a bright indigo blue aurora shimmer. As your fingers warm, a grape purple gives way to a hot pink.
KBShimmer Aloe There is a tri-thermal polish that, when
cold, is a rich forest green hue set off by orange-red to green aurora shimmer.
Then, as your hands warm, a vibrant Kelly green changes into a bold lime green,
really making that shimmer pop!
KBShimmer Best Buds is a tri-thermal polish that starts as a
jean-like deep slate blue, then warms into a deepened orchid that gives way to
a bright minty lime, all accented with classic aurora shimmer that goes from a
coppery orange to a bright green.
KBShimmer Grow with the Flow is a tri-thermal polish that
starts as a deep grape purple accented with a soft pink to golden green aurora
shimmer. As it warms, a lavender-leaning-periwinkle gives way to a bright
robin’s egg blue that’s just perfect to welcome spring and summer days!
KBShimmer Just Glow with It is a tri-thermal nail polish
that when cold, starts as a near neon red. As your hands warm, a neon coral
orange hue shifts to a vibrant hot pink. This bold polish is accented with
classic aurora shimmer, going from a coppery orange to a bright green.
KBShimmer Pool Shark is a tri-thermal polish that starts as a
deep slate-leaning-navy blue accented by a soft pink to green and gold aurora
shimmer. When warmer, a deep periwinkle blue gives way to a light and bright
sky blue for a truly pool-ready shade!
KBShimmer Reel Good Time is a tri-thermal polish that starts
as a deep eggplant burgundy color accented with an aurora shimmer that shifts
from a flashy coppery red to green. As your hands warm, a purple-leaning-indigo
shifts to a light orchid pink.
KBShimmer Slay La Vie is a tri-thermal polish that starts as a
vibrant magenta color that quickly shifts to a bold rose hue, which then morphs
into a shocking hot pink. Sparks of an indigo to blue aurora shimmer set off
this pink hued polish.
KBShimmer That's Smore Like It is a tri-thermal polish that
starts as a milk chocolate brown glowing with bright aurora shimmer. As your
hands warm, a fiery red gives way to a light orchid, while the shimmer shows
off flashy gold and green tones.
All swatch photos show two coats and top coat. Because of the thermal pigment, they dry to a satin finish so I recommend top coat (because I always recommend top coat, let's be real). The formula was fantastic and consistent with each of the nine polishes. No issues at all! I would expect these to be three coaters for folks with more of a free edge than me but for those of us with short nails... two coats does the trick. I used a hair dryer to get these to transition because I needed to swatch, swatch, swatch. But they do transition easily in everyday life when I wore them out and about. Lastly, a quick note about thermals on my short nails. Despite what some people
have said, I think thermals look amazing on short nails. I couldn't
capture all three (or even two of the three) colours on my nails easily
but it does happen. I find that on my short nails, thermals just end up
seeming like three different polishes in one as my nails are most often
one of the three colours at any given time depending on my body
temperature. So, if you have short nails like me... fear not! Thermals are for you, too!
