Halloween is coming! It's my favorite time of the year. The weather is getting cool and crisp. The air has that special quality that only comes with Fall. And it's time for Halloween nail polishes from our favorite indie brands... like Rogue Lacquer. Inspired by my favorite Halloween movie of all time (really, if it's not your favorite then who are you?), Rachel created the I Put A Spell On You Trio which will release on Wednesday, October 2 at 5 PM Pacific or 8 PM EST. The trio will be available for $28 USD on the Rogue Lacquer website (and individually if you can only grab one or two of the polishes).
Rogue Lacquer Amuck Amuck Amuck ($11 USD) is a spell-binding electric violet with purple and magenta shimmer. This beauty glows on the nail in a perfectly Halloween-y way. I am wearing three coats plus top coat. Be careful with your application so as to avoid brushstrokes - it's not a difficult application by any means but you just want to make sure your strokes are even as the strokes mostly disappear when the polish dries.
Rogue Lacquer Binx ($12 USD) is a black cat linear holo. This is pretty much a one coat wonder but I used two just because I thought maybe it would get more black with a second coat which is kind of did but it's perfect in one. This is so holo too! And I don't know if it's my imagination but it seems to have a touch of gold shimmer.
Rogue Lacquer Hocus Pocus ($9 USD) is a magical mix of assorted hex glitter in chartreuse, lime, black orange holo and purple shreds. This topper is so adorable! I haven't worn a glitter topper in a long time but I am so happy to see this one from Rogue Lacquer. It looks absolutely incredible and perfectly Halloween-y over top of Amuck Amuck Amuck... I mean, does it get any more fesitve?! This is one effortless coat. No fishing, no leaving the bottle upside down. Just a perfect glitter topper. I think you might be able to get it opaque on its own if you applied it with a sponge. I show it in three coats applied from the brush on its own below on my bare nail.
