Have you noticed astrology making a big comeback? It seems like all the cool kids on the internet are all about astrology and natal charts and destiny. I'm not sure I totally believe it but it's fun to partake. I'm a Sagittarius and feel aligned with quite a few of those traits but when I read my natal (birth) chart things got really personal, really fast. Well, enough about me. How about we talk about the January 2020 Polish Pickup Written in the Stars theme and the beautiful polish and pen Girly Bits has made for the shop. Girly Bits Equilibrium is a soft and intentionally sheer cornflower blue base with a lovely mix of shifting shimmer and iridescent flakes that flirt with blue, lavender, pink, and green, plus a sprinkle of holographic micro flakes. Opaque for most in three coats, or can be layered over a darker or complimentary base colour. I'm obsessed with this one. It looks stunning in two coats but I am showing three coats which gave me full opacity as my nails are short. This one shimmers and shifts like nobody's businesses. It's super ethereal and magical. The perfect balance of everything a nail polish lover wants from a lacquer.

Girly Bits Written in the Stars Glitter Globe Pen ($6.50 USD | 40 US cap/15 UK cap) is the second offering from Girly Bits for the January Polish Pickup. It is a luxury floating glitter globe pen that's perfect for planner enthusiasts or for those of us who still write and want to feel a little extra. It features a rainbow multichrome barrel, silver hardware, and contains a custom mix of holographic and metallic glitter in silver and blue plus holographic silver stars that sparkle and shine as they float in the clear top half of the barrel. The pen is nicely weighted in your hand and has smooth flowing black ink. The ink cartridge is replaceable making this pen more eco-friendly than most disposable pens. Again, I'm obsessed! Who doesn't want to feel a little extra when they're writing? I am definitely going to carry this pen around in my purse and whip it out to sign autographs - just kidding! But I will carry it in my purse because I often need a pen when I'm out. I love that it's a twist pen so the tip hides away nicely. The pen writes beautifully and black ink is always a great option. This one will go fast so grab it early!
Each month, The Pickups will bring you a variety of polishes and handmade items from indie makers based on a theme chosen by customers. The Pickups are live the first Friday at 11 AM EST of each month and the shop stays open for four days through the following Monday at Midnight EST. The polishes and items are exclusive to The Pickups for each month.
All products are pre-ordered (capped or uncapped) and will ship a minimum of 3 weeks after sale commencement. The Pickups ship for a flat fee of $3 in the US and $5 to Canada. Shipping to European countries is available through The Pickups UK website. The Pickups will combine orders placed over the four day sale period. This will happen automatically when shipping begins and you will then receive your shipping overage refunds.
