I'm a big fan of flowers. I never really appreciated them until I got older. My dad was a florist and I started working in his flower shop at the ripe age of 12. While cut flowers are gorgeous and serve their purpose, I am all about flowers in the wild. If I see a beautiful flower in a garden or growing up among some weeds you better believe I'll appreciate it. If you're wondering what my favorite flower is for the sake of picking one I will say ranunculus. But, I love them all.
For the February Polish Pickup the theme is Flora and Fauna (aka plants and animals). My Indie Polish took the gorgeous dahlia flower as her inspiration to create a delicate thermal that shimmers and glints in the light.
My Indie Polish Dahlias for Days ($13 USD | 15 mL | no cap) is a sweet blush pink to butter yellow thermal loaded with gold flake and gold shimmer and a touch of holographic micro glitter. I am wearing three coats plus top coat. The microglitter is so small that it does not impact removal. The formula is very nice and as with all thermals, dries dull so top coat is a must. This transitions easily and the shades compliment each other so nicely. The shimmer is very apparent and really ties everything together beautifully.
Each month, The Pickups will bring you a variety of polishes and handmade items from indie makers based on a theme chosen by customers. The Pickups are live the first Friday at 11 AM EST of each month and the shop stays open for four days through the following Monday at Midnight EST. The polishes and items are exclusive to The Pickups for each month.
All products are pre-ordered (capped or uncapped) and will ship a minimum of 3 weeks after sale commencement. The Pickups ship for a flat fee of $3 USD in the US and $5 USD to Canada.
