Some items provided for review

Please be kind and rewind. Do you remember that? The old Blockbuster days. I miss those. Apparently I am feeling very nostalgic lately. Anyway, that sentiment applies here because for the July 2020 Polish Pickup they will be bringing back some much loved polishes which can be purchased from the PPU website and also on the websites of respective brands. I was surprised by how many of these I already had in my stash. If you want to see live swatches, check out my YouTube video! I'm really excited about these so let's go...

Watch live swatches on YouTube now! Some of these need to be seen on camera to be believed ;)

July 2020 Polish Pickup Rewind Swatches

Hot pink nail polish with shimmer

JReine Temple of Temptation ($13 USD | 15 mL | 3 coats | PPU website) is a hot pink jelly base with a strong fuchsia to pink to gold to green shift. Wow! This is my first time trying JReine and I am a huge fan of how freaking pink this is. The shift is incredibly prominent and it almost has a multichrome quality to it. The formula was sheer but built up well.

BLUSH Lacquers Ride the Wave ($13 USD | 12 mL | 2 coats | maker site) inspired by Wave Race 64 (a video game) and is described as a teal-toned aqua base loaded with holo flakes and a strong pink shimmer that shifts to orange (and gold and green at extreme angles). Fully, fully obsessed with this one.

Murky brown purple nail polish that shifts to blue and green

BLUSH Lacquers Life Finds A Way ($13 USD | 12 mL | 3 coats | PPU site) is a murky, deep muddy brown base with a shifting microflake shimmer of green-teal-blue and purple at the far edges and extreme angles. I love how shifty this one is - it really is a gorgeous nail polish with an excellent formula.

Wildflower Lacquer Don't Play Koi ($12.50 USD | 15 mL | 2 coats | maker site and Girly Bits shop) is a turquoise jelly base packed with red to gold to green crystal flakies, and scattered holo flakies. Inspired by the Pisces zodiac sign! Wow! This is another new-to-me brand with the most gorgeous jelly formula and THE FLAKES! Be still my heart. I love this polish so much.

Tropical blue nail polish with holo flakes and multicolored flakes

Paint It Pretty Polish Fish Are Friends, Not Food ($12 USD | 15 mL | 3 coats | maker site) is a blue base with purple/indigo Aurora shimmers, silver holo microflakes and green/blue/purple colour shifting flakes. This polish has a wonderful formula, reaching opacity in two coats and drying quickly. I used top coat to bring out all the shine possible. This is easy to remove and wears really well.

Turquoise clear thermal nail polish

By Vanessa Molina Ocean Is Magic ($13 USD | 10 mL | 3 coats | PPU site) is a turquoise (cool) to clear (warm) thermal with iridescent flakes. Thermals do have a short shelf life but this one seems to be exceptionally short. I have seen other's photos and in the cold state it appears much darker than what I was able to see here. I had my finger in ice cold water and this is as dark as it got. I have heard of other folks saying their bottle of this polish "died" and stopped transitioning so word of warning. Hopefully this rewind batch will have a longer life but the original seems to be dying.

Girly Bits And Gaia Wept swatch by Streets Ahead Style

Girly Bits And Gaia Wept ($13 USD | 15 mL | PPU site) is a lime green jelly base packed with red-to-green colour-shifting shimmer, iridescent colour-shifting flakes, and red-to-green metallic colour-shifting flakes. Inspired by the Earth Goddess, or as some call her, Mother Nature. This polish is sheer and I am wearing three coats. The formula is perfect and I think it would look amazing layered over another polish (which I plan to do in the future!). I love this so much because the shimmer is so intense and the base is so freakin' bright. I am a huge fan!

nail polish with Grey base with berry pink glitters

My Indie Polish In the Beginning ($13 USD | 15 mL | PPU site) is a grey jelly base crammed with an assortment of berry glitters in holographic and non-holographic finishes. The glitters come in all shapes and sizes and each polish will include small bag of miniature pink holographic stars in the same tone for you to apply on your own. As you can see, I applied a little star on my index nail and I also got a "hunka hunka chunka flake" as Del of Fat Cat Pawlished says. I am wearing three thin coats and this polish dried shockingly glossy and smooth despite all the glitters. I say it all the time and will say it again: My Indie Polish really knows how to make a crelly. Their base is fantastic and suspends the glitters so well. I am a big fan of the berry-tone glitters in the grey base.

Did you miss any of these the firs time around? Do you plan to grab any of these or any others that you missed from an earlier Polish Pickup? My list is HUGE!
