The theme for the final Polish Pickup of 2020 is "Everything is Fine." This year has had many lows and many highs and it seems to be the case on a personal level as well as a national and global level. I can say with everything in my heart that if you are reading this, I appreciate you and I hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe. There are some incredible polishes being offered this month and their names really speak to how I feel about this year... Resist and Love Wins really capture what this year has meant to me. And then there is Buttcoin which is just hilarious because remember when toilet paper was being hoarded and you couldn't find it anywhere? That was kind of stressful. I'm glad we can all laugh now!
There are a variety of beautiful nail polishes I have to share with you. I have a live swatch video on my YouTube channel for those who want to see how these polishes apply in real time. These polishes will be on sale December 4th through the 7th.
Would you like to see how some of these polishes looks on skin tones other than mine? Check out:

Let's get into the nail polish!
Girly Bits Buttcoin ($13 USD | 15 mL | 3 coats | 300 US cap, UK cap TBD) is a dirty white base with cool undertones, brimming with gold to green to blue colour shifting shimmer, a sprinkling of holographic flakes, and finished off with iridescent colour shifting flakes in blue, violet, pink, and gold. Buttcoin was inspired by a meme poking fun at how valuable toilet paper has become. This polish has an excellent formula - I built it up in three coats with no issues whatsoever. If you prefer a lighter, more sheer effect you could stop at two but I like how the base appeared a bit more white at three coats. The shimmer is so nice and the flakes are a really nice touch as well. White polish lovers will LOOOOVE this one.
Great Lakes Lacquer Love Wins ($13 USD | 15 mL | 3 coats | no cap) is inspired by one of the shows Mariah and her family binged during early quarantine, She-Ra and The Princesses Of Power on Netflix. Great Lakes Lacquer Love Wins is a light grass green (it appears more of a minty green to my eye) with a soft linear holo, this is filled with a pink/purple to gold to green shifting aurora shimmer with purple to pink to orange to gold to green iridescent flakes. $1 for every bottle sold will go to GLSEN, an organization that is a "champion for LGBTQ issues in K-12 education since 1990."
Love love love everything about this polish, including that it will support and incredible organization. It applies beautifully and builds up to full opacity in three coats. I could have gotten away with two but I felt the third covered the tiniest bit of nail line that was showing through. Such a beautiful polish in every possible way!
My Indie Polish Maybe It Was Aliens ($13 USD | 15 mL | 3 coats) is a taupe grey with gold flakes and shimmer. This polish has a very smooth formula. It's easy to work with and the shimmer is quite strong. I am not sure what this polish has to do with aliens but it is a very elegant shade that reminds me a bit of New Year's Eve and champagne.
My Indie Polish Get Your Tinfoil Hat ($11.50 USD | 15 mL | 1 coat) is a holographic shred topcoat which can be used as a polish in three coats. I chose to wear it as a topper over Maybe It Was Aliens (above) and it complimented the polish very nicely. This is packed with the holo shreds and they lay smooth and one layer of top coat takes care of any texture. It's super holographic and I can see myself wearing this over a lot of polishes in the future. This polish was inspired by an alien movie that featured Bruce Willis and all these things kept trying to get in their house and a little boy puts tinfoil hat on his head to try to keep everything away.
Paint It Pretty Polish Longest March Break EVER!! ($12 USD | 15 mL | 3 coats | cap of 90 US and 10 UK) is a black tinted jelly base packed with iridescent shifting flakes and holographic microflakes that shift through the rainbow.
Treo Lacquer Resist ($12 USD | 15 mL | 3 coats | cap of 145 USD and 15 UK) is a tri-thermal transitioning through green, purple, and dark blue with a beautiful magnetic shimmer that shifts from teal to dark blue. In terms of the inspiration, Amanda says: "I wanted to pick something good from 2020 and the thing that came to the forefront of my mind and heart was Black Lives Matter and the stand that is being taken for diverse skin tone representation in our nail polish community. For me that's the best of 2020 and in that spirit I created Resist." I can definitely agree that this was a highlight of 2020 specifically when it comes to the nail polish community. I will happily give up my swatching spot with a brand to allow for diverse representation of skin tones any day of the week.
This polish is thin and builds up in three coats. I magnetized at the third coat and you can see all three colours plus the magnetic stripe. There is a lot going on and it works so well!
