And the road trip continues! Girly Bits Cosmetics is continuing her nail polish road trip across Canada for her Hella Handmade Creations series. For February, we are heading to the Yukon which is a territory in northwest Canada. It is mountainous and sparsely populated. It is also known as the land of the Midnight Sun because the Yukon experiences 24 hours of daylight from June to September.
This nail polish will be available in the Hella Handmade Creations shop from February 14 to 21. There will be a cap of 175 bottles available and it seems like this will be quite popular so purchase sooner than later!
I've got lots of photos of this magical nail polish in the blog post below. Check out @your.girl.vee for more swatches of this beautiful polish on a different skin tone than mine.
Girly Bits Rock My World ($13 USD | 3 coats | 15 mL | capped at 175 bottles | 5 free and cruelty free) is a deep blurple base (mostly comes off as black) with a red/gold shift, and orange/pink/violet/gold shifting iridescent flakes. This is a stunning polish and the shift is very strong. The flakes come off as pink and orange mostly and they are quite small. They are more or less visible depending on the lighting but they add a nice accent to the polish. The formula is a bit thinner than what I am used to from Girly Bits but that helps the shift show through. I used three coats and top coat. The polish has a smooth and easy to work with formula. No issues to report!
This nail polish is part of the Canadian Road Trip series. It is inspired by a photo from the Yukon, Canada where there is daylight 24 hours a day from June to September. So, there is literally sunshine at midnight. I would love to see it one day.
For the Hella Handmade Creations shop, each maker picks a theme that they will follow for several months. The shop will open on the 14th of each month at 12:01 AM EST and the shopping window is seven days, ending on the 21st at 11:59PM Hawaii time. The will be a pre-order each month and the expected TAT is 3-4 weeks after the shop closes for the month.
