Having "long" hair is kind of new to me. For probably 65% of my 28 years on Earth I've had my hair cut around my ears in some sort of pixie or bowl cut (back in the 1990s when it was the thing and then again with a modern take in 2010 and again in 2016). As I type, my hair is shoulder length and it's super fine and really dry. When ChickAdvisor announced the chance to try the Love Beauty and Planet line of hair and body care products, I knew I had to try my luck. Thankfully I was chosen to try the Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Did the hair care items work wonders for my fine, dry hair... click below to find out!
So, what do I think of the Love Beauty and Planet Coconut Water & Mimosa Shampoo? For a drugstore shampoo, I am incredibly impressed. Not only is this shampoo cruelty free and vegan, it's also free of sulfates, parabens, silicones, dyes AND the packaging is 100% recyclable! But, most importantly, it performs well. It gives my hair body and shine and helps tame the static I've been experiencing during this Spring that still feels like Winter. I don't totally love the scent of the Coconut Water & Mimosa line but when it works as well as it does, I'm okay with that. It doesn't linger thankfully.
The Love Beauty and Planet Coconut Water & Mimosa Conditioner works just as well. It doesn't make my hair feel too silky or soft once it's rinsed out. It just does what it's supposed to and my hair is definitely bouncy. I think my hair feels stronger since using the Volume and Bounty Shampoo and Conditioner too. I haven't had as much hair falling out and it doesn't break off when I comb it. That makes me very happy.
Lastly, a few comments on the Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower Body Wash: I don't love the scent but it doesn't linger thankfully (just like the shampoo and conditioner). But it's a lovely body wash that feels light and does the trick. It doesn't make my skin feel dried out or coated in silicone. It's also vegan and cruelty free and free of just about everything else you wouldn't want in a body wash if you care about the Planet. So, I'm a fan!
I've spotted the Love Planet and Beauty items at Shoppers Drug Mart and they're quite reasonably priced at less than $10 each.
