I'm feeling a little hungover from all the excitement of Indie Expo Canada 2018 this past weekend! (I will have a fun recap on the blog in the next two weeks and I've added IEC to my highlights on Instagram (@streetsaheadstyle) - you can live through my day! I had an absolute blast and the event was even more awesome than last year! I just had so much fun! I hosted a workshop on blogging and Pam bestowed the privilege of emceeing the Speaker's Panel on Sunday afternoon which was awesome except I deafened everyone with a microphone mishap. But, it's all good and thankfully everyone still has their hearing intact. So, let's talk about the next exciting nail polish event which is happening THIS WEEKEND in White Plains, NY... The Polish Convention!
For those of you who can't make it to Polish Con (I wish!), the three event polishes will be available on the Girly Bits Cosmetics website for a limited time starting early July. Each of these will be $13 USD (tax included) at the Polish Con event and then $16.50 (plus tax) on the Girly Bits website in July. All the polishes in this post are 5 Free, Cruelty Free and Vegan Friendly.
Let's start with Girly Bits Dreamlike; this is a denim blue holo with rose gold shimmer, turquoise shimmer, purple to green shifting metallic flakes, and red to gold shifting metallic flakes. This is two coats plus top coat. Awesome formula and no issues with removal. This polish is otherworldly! It truly is dreamlike. I love my blues but this is just on a whole other level. I think it's the rose gold shimmer - it really pops in this polish. Also, this is PACKED with flakes. Whoa momma.
Limited Edition #2 is Girly Bits Not Plain White, a very light lavender crelly base with purple to pink to green shifting metallic flakes, rose gold shimmer, and a small amount of teeny tiny holographic particles. Another two coater plus top coat. This is easy to remove also because it's all flakes. The rose gold shimmer, once again, leaves me speechless. I am in love with this crelly.
The third LE is Girly Bits She’s a Lady is a light blue-green crelly base, with aqua shimmer and reddish copper metallic flakes. Okay, now this is perfect. It captures the Statue of Liberty and so much more. I am wearing two coats again plus top coat. The formula is so good on this and so many flakes come out on each coat. If you like aquas, then you need this.
Lastly, we have Girly Bits Very Important Polish (VIP Bag polish) which will be available in very limited quantities at PC and on the GB website if there are over-pours. Each VIP bag holder will receive this polish. It is a blackened base stuffed with shifting shimmer and glass fleck in red, orange, gold, violet, and green, with a dose of holo prism flakes. I am wearing two coats plus top coat. This is a shifter and builds up very well in the two coats. It's a super fun polish and is super smooth despite being so packed with flecks and holo prism flakes.
