Blue! How I love blue nail polish. I was so excited and grateful to receive some Bee's Knees Lacquer to try at Indie Expo Canada in June. Since Bee's Knees came onto the indie nail polish scene in 2017, the brand has been generating a lot of buzz (super easy/obvious pun intended) for their unique creations.

Bee's Knees Lacquer House on Haunted Chill is a sheer blurple base with opalescent shifting shimmer. This is a sheer jelly polish so it can be opaque on its own in about 3-4 coats or worn as a topper. I am wearing 4 coats because I wanted to darken it for the photos but the next time I wear it (because it's gorgeous and I will wear it again) as a topper over a blue like Sinful Colors Endless Blue. The opalescence is just gorgeous with this polish - it has so many different shifts depending on the lighting. My favorite is in low lighting which I featured most in this blog post.

The Bee's Knees formula is excellent and I really love the length of the brush. The polish applied really smoothly and evenly with a good dry time. I was also impressed by how well the Bee's Knees polishes I tried wore after a few days. I have some other nail friends that find Bee's Knees to be long-wearing so that's good to know it works well for others. House on Haunted Chill is like a really rich Australian black opal (which are quite blue). Two thumbs up from me!
