Paint It Pretty Polish Magnetic Collection

One of the things I love about nail polish is how it can be a momentary distraction from your everyday world. When I look at beautiful colours and sparkle on my nails, I feel happy. Perhaps nail polish is it's own form of meditation. Like a fidget spinner (remember those?) on your nail. On July 20, Paint It Pretty Polish is releasing a magnetic nail polish collection and that's what I have to distract you with today. This collection is absolutely awesome and I am so excited to share what Sherri has created with all of you!

A quick note about application and magnet stuff before I go on and sound like a broken record. All swatches show three thin coats. Application was fantastic for all of these polishes. I recommend two thin coats and then one THICK coat before immediately applying the magnet above the nail (do not touch the nail though!). I held the magnet in place diagonally on the nail for about 10 seconds and then repeated for each nail. Then, I applied top coat to all my nails. This worked really well for me and it was my first time ever using magnetic polish. Easy peasy and so much fun! I used a neodymium bar magnet.

Paint It Pretty Chick Magnet is a teal, green, purple and pink shifting multichrome magnetic polish. When the magnet is applied, it really brings out the multichrome shift in an in-you-face kind of way. I was fascinated by this one on my nails because it had such depth with the magnetic effect. My pictures show the teal face of the shift but the purple is very prominent as well... it just seems that with polishes like this the teal is most often picked up by the camera. Gorgeous polish. 

Paint It Pretty Polish Magnetic Fields is a super beautiful dark purple holographic magnetic polish. When the magnet is applied, it appears as though there is a dark purple base and a lighter and brighter purple magnetic shift. Magnetic Fields, like the other holos, has a more subtle magnetic shift than Chick Magnet and the other multichromes in this collection. This one is so beautiful even though it is more subtle than the first polish. It has so much depth and dimensionality when the magnet is applied.

Paint It Pretty Polish I Don't See the Attraction is a sparkling blue to purple duochrome. The shift in this one really pops on the nail because the contrast is quite high. I'm absolutely loving this collection and I Don't See the Attraction is another standout for me. 

Paint It Pretty Polish Force Field is a navy blue holographic magnetic polish. This one might be vying for the top spot out of this collection alongside Magnetic Moment (which is the next set of swatches). This, like the other holos in the collection, has a more subtle magnetic effect but it's still very much there and very much gorgeous. I loved the formulation of this one and the sparkle is out of this world. It's more of a scattered holo effect which is my personal favorite type of holo. The magnet brings out a lighter metallic cobalt blue that is so stunning. 

Paint It Pretty Polish Magnetic Moment is a purple duochrome magnetic polish. This shifts between purple and blue and it looks like a thunderstorm on your nails. There is so much depth with this one! It's vampy but bright - a purple lover's dream. There is a touch of sparkle in here that really sets it off! One of my top picks from this collection!

And last but definitely not least is Paint It Pretty Polish Opposites Attract, a super unique green/blue/grey multichrome magnetic polish with some holo. The magnetic effect in this one is on the more subtle side but it works perfectly with this shade. It's like a stormy sky and I absolutely love how the blue really pops when the magnet is applied. This is totally unique and gorgeous. Very moody but also sparkly. Like me.
