I have always been a fan of Ever After since the first polish I tried. I remember resisting the brand at first because I thought I didn't like flakes... you can laugh, I'll wait. How misguided was I?! I'm flake-obsessed and have been for a few years now. Due to a move across the United States, Rachel (formerly of Ever After) launched her own brand... Rogue Lacquer. And now I've got a load of flakes for you today by way of Rogue Lacquer.
Rogue Lacquer Retro Future is part of the brand's debut collection - Steampunk Fantasy. The collection was a perfectly executed 4-piece with a variety of finishes though mostly shimmers and this crelly: Retro Future. Rogue Lacquer Retro Future is a minty seafoam with copper, silver, bronze, and gold chrome flakes, turquoise sparkle, and a soft linear flame.
I wasn't expecting to like this polish as much as I did. The formula was wonderful. I used three thin coats that applied very, very smoothly. This dried with a nice natural shine but a top coat is always best. The flakes are perfectly smooth and perfectly distributed. I'm a huge fan and can't wait to try more Rogue Lacquer.
