Out with the old and in with the new.... Happy New Year! 2019 - can you believe it? What better way to kick off the year than with the January 2019 Colours of the Month from Girly Bits Cosmetics? I sure can't think of one! And this CoTM is right up my alley: vampy and dark.
Girly Bits After Midnight is a black crelly filled with reflective silver microglitter. This is a really cool polish and it looks amazing when it's all plumped up with top coat. I don't have any polishes like this with the reflective microglitter and I love how it looks. I found it best to apply this polish quickly and in as few strokes as possible. It was a little iffy on the first coat but a thick second coat made it just fine and I did need two layers of top coat to make it look glossy and totally smooth as I like my polishes. I used Girly Bits Glitter Glaze. I am wearing two coats in my photos and two layers of top coat.
Girly Bits Red Velvet is a blackened red jelly filled with reflective metallic red micro flakes. How can you not love this one? I love how rich and vampire-like this one is. My Mom has a red velvet chaise lounge and this is almost the exact shade as the velvet so the name is absolutely perfect. I am wearing three thin coats plus top coat. There isn't any texture with this one as it contains flakes rather than microglitter like After Midnight. I did not have any issues with application of this polish and it has an amazing glowy quality. So classy and vampy!
