Do you like snow? I used to hate it and winter in general. However, I think I am starting to embrace it and recognize its beauty. Winter offers a special time for hibernation and restoration. Summer is just so stressful because I constantly feel like I'm battling the sun and trying to make the most of every second for fear of wasting one minute. That's a lot of pressure to squeeze all your living into 4 months (if we're lucky here in Ontario). Winter offers 6+ months of total chill. But we aren't here to wax poetic about seasons, this is about My Indie Polish's offering for the December Winter is Coming Polish Pickup. Two products this time around! Let's check them out.
Just in case you aren't already aware, the December Polish Pickup schedule is different than the usual. The shop will open at 11 AM EST on Monday, December 2 and close at 11:59 PM on Friday, December 6. The goal is to get packages out sooner before the Holidays.
My Indie Polish Snow Shards ($12 USD | 15 mL | no cap) is a white crelly with a mix of blue and turquoise glitters and matte blue mini stars. You see three coats plus top coat here. I did have to place some of the stars to get everything how I wanted but you didn't have to fish for the stars. There are plenty but the base is very fluid so you might need to fiddle a bit to get them in the right place.
Now for the second offering... a special effect topper!
My Indie Polish Gone Before You Know It ($12 USD | 15 mL | no cap) is a teal-to-clear effect topper that can be worn over another polish. It has a tiny pinch of holographic just to add some pizzazz. This can be worn as a polish or a topper. It dries matte as you can see in my photos (it's not matte so much as flat) but a top coat brings the shine out as with all thermals. I am wearing two coats of Gone Before You Know It over Snow Shards. This is best in two coats for me to get an even finish for when the polish becomes cold.
Each month, The Pickups will bring you a variety of polishes and handmade items from indie makers based on a theme chosen by customers. The Pickups are live the first Friday at 11 AM EST of each month and the shop stays open for four days through the following Monday at Midnight EST. The polishes and items are exclusive to The Pickups for each month.
All products are pre-ordered (capped or uncapped) and will ship a minimum of 3 weeks after sale commencement. The Pickups ship for a flat fee of $3 USD in the US and $5 USD to Canada. Shipping to European countries is available through The Pickups UK website. The Pickups will combine orders placed over the four day sale period. This will happen automatically when shipping begins and you will then receive your shipping overage refunds.
