March is a special month because it's the month of my amazing mom's birth. The birthstone for March is aquamarine and I grew up with a lot of aquamarine stones around because of my mom had (and still has) a lot of aquamarine jewellery. Paint It Pretty Polish created Water of the Sea for this month's Pretty Polish of the Month limited edition nail polish. Water of the Sea is the latin translation of Aquamarine; this stone "evokes the purity of crystalline waters, and the exhilaration and relaxation of the sea. It is calming, soothing, and cleansing, and inspires truth, trust and letting go." (source: Crystal Vaults). As a lover of the ocean and all water, I love aquamarine. And this nail polish is very aquatic-inspired.
Paint It Pretty Polish Water of the Sea features a teal-leaning baby blue base packed with aqua shimmer, various blue and black flakes and some holo sparkle. This absolutely evokes memories of the ocean and it's completely mesmerizing. I am wearing two coats plus top coat. The formula is fantastic and smooth like butter. This nail polish makes me want to swim in the ocean as the sunlight dances on the waves. The shimmer in this polish makes it especially magical.
