Provided for review

If you're wondering where summer went, you're not alone. Despite the pandemic, time still flew and (most) everyone's favourite season is coming to a close. Tonic Polish is commemorating this special and sad time of year with some beautiful nail polishes. I absolutely adore the colour palette that Tonic Polish put together for their Late Summer 2020 nail polish collection. From neons to an ethereal shimmer, there is something for everyone here.  Vamica will also have swatches of these polishes on her Instagram so keep an eye out for those: https://instagram.com/your.girl.vee

Tonic Polish is available in Canada from Girly Bits Cosmetics with free shipping on orders over $80 CAD. The Tonic Polish Late Summer 2020 Collection will release on September 4 at 2:00 p.m.  central. You can preorder these nail polishes from Girly Bits from September 4 to September 12. And, as I usually do now that I'm a wannabe YouTuber, you can watch me swatch these nail polishes in real time on the Streets Ahead Style YouTube channel.

Tonic Nail Polish Angel Parade swatch

Tonic Polish Angel Parade ($19.25 CAD | 15 mL | 2 coats) . I found this formula to be very easy to work with however, I recommend thin and even coats to avoid brushstrokes. I found I had some visible brushstrokes after this dried and after applying top coat. It has a ton of dimension and you really can't beat a Tonic Polish multichome. Especially the multichromes in their Parade series - they are magical!

Tonic Polish Angel Parade is described as a super pigmented gold-green-silver-blue multichrome addition to their Multichrome Parade family of colors.

Tonic Nail Polish I'm So Fresh swatch

Tonic Polish I'm So Fresh ($11.75 CAD | 15 mL | 3 coats) . I think this polish is very interesting. It applied very easily and evenly. You can wear it in one coat as a treatment base or under another polish if you so choose. I imagine it would look really cool under Starlit Dawn or Facet-Nating. It works nicely as a treatment on your nails if you're looking for some colour while also giving your nails some TLC.

Tonic Polish I'm So Fresh is described as a new glowing mint green shimmer addition to Tonic's “I'm So Fancy” base coat line up. Made with the same base formula as the classic French Undies base coat, it strengthens, smooths, and protects your natural nails and also helps with polish wear time. Tonic's “I'm So Fancy” base coats are designed to provide additional coverage and brightness under sheer nail polish colors or can be worn all on their own for a super quick and easy manicure. One coat gives a sheer, delicate color, or build up a few coats for more impact. They can even be used as a fun topper over another color.

Tonic Nail Polish Hot Guava swatch

Tonic Polish Hot Guava ($12.75 CAD | 15 mL | 2 coats) . Try as I might, I could NOT get this polish to photograph accurately. The colour is somehow lighter but also more neon. This polish is bright, bright, bright! I found the formula to be very smooth and easy to work with. It was almost a one coater but I used two coats for a perfect finish with top coat.

Tonic Polish Hot Guava is described as a neon coral addition to our Neon Brights family of colors. Amy says it is pretty close to Tonic Nail Polish False Alarm, just a slightly more pink option.

Tonic Nail Polish Manic Panic swatch

Tonic Polish Manic Panic ($12.75 CAD | 15 mL | 2 coats) . Wow. Okay, this is an amazing purple. I tried my hardest to capture this colour accurately but it was also a struggle as it has a bit of a neon hue. It's a warm purple which applies easily and evenly. I am very impressed with Tonic Polish cremes, if Hot Guava and Manic Panic are any indication of their overall creme formula.

Tonic Polish Manic Panic is more of a “bright” than a neon. Manic Panic is a solid bright purple cream addition to Tonic Nail Polish's Neon Brights family of colors.

Tonic Nail Polish Facet-Nating swatch

Tonic Polish Facet-Nating ($18 CAD | 15 mL | 3 coats on its own or 1 coat over a base) . I knew I would love this polish when I saw it in the bottle. I opted to try this initially on its own in three coats. It builds up easy and quickly but I think I love it even more as a topper. I show it below over Tonic Polish Manic Panic in one coat. As a topper, it applies evenly and easily. I finished off with top coat as there is a touch of texture from the multitude of flakes.

Tonic Polish Facet-Nating is described as a super shifty red-gold-green multichrome and flakes paired with iridescent blue flakes.

Tonic Nail Polish Starlit Dawn swatch

Tonic Polish Starlit Dawn ($18 CAD | 15 mL | 3 coats) . I saved my favourite for last! If you know me then you know I love ethereal and delicate polishes like these. The shimmer in here is outta bounds, as Guy Fieri would say. It shifts from red through green and it's very obvious on the nail. The kiss of holo and flakes work so well together. It's a very elegant finish with a twist. It also works beautifully as a topper and I chose to pair it with Hot Guava. I love the end result.

Tonic Polish Starlit Dawn is described as having a tiny bit of scattered holo mixed with a ton of peach-red iridescent shimmer and flakes that shift to yellow and green make for a resonant, fiery, ethereal polish with a million wear possibilities.
