I celebrate Christmas and every year I grumble about it. I used to love it but after my grandparents died and most of our family members became estranged (long story) Christmas has never been the same. But, after I grumble about it and act like a regular old Grinch/Scrooge I usually come around when I start seeing the Christmas lights and vintage ornaments in particular. I am a sucker for anything vintage especially around Christmas. Well, lo and behold Paint It Pretty Polish has created a quad of vintage Christmas inspired glitter toppers that made me smile. All of the polishes in the Vintage Christmas collection come with a small jar of the loose glitters so you can add extra glitters if you'd like. Paint It Pretty Polish Shimmering Snow ($11 CAD | 15 mL | 1 coat) is a sparkling glitter topper with an assortment of circle and hex glitters in silver and holo. Shown over Different Dimension Coconut Milk. The formula is very smooth and easy to work with. I used Glisten & Glow top coat which smoothed the glitters nicely to my delight. The same applies for all of the other polishes in the Vintage Christmas Collection.
Paint It Pretty Polish Candy Cane ($11 CAD | 15 mL | 1 coat) is a glitter topper filled with red and white dots in various sizes. Shown over Girly Bits For Once and Floral.
Paint It Pretty Polish Peppermint ($11 CAD | 15 mL | 1 coat) is a green and white glitter topper with dots in an assortment of sizes. Shown over Beyond the Nail Exploding Honeydew. This would double as a really fun St. Patrick's Day nail polish.
Paint It Pretty Polish Golden Presents ($11 CAD | 15 mL | 1 coat) is a topper filled with gold hex glitter and green, red, gold micro glitters. Shown over Girly Bits Just the Flax Ma'am. This is such a nice, delicate topper. I think you could add a second coat if you wanted to increase the density of the glitter but I liked it at just one coat. Out of all the polishes in the collection, I think this is the one you could probably build up in three coats or sponge on for a full-coverage look.
Paint It Pretty Polish Cozy Sweater ($11 CAD | 15 mL | 2 coats) a grey holo base with taupe micro flakes and holo flakes. Available through December 1. Wow! This is so sparkly and I think there must be some pink shimmer because I really see it on the nail. A great formula and a really nice Winter shade.
Paint It Pretty Polish Resting Grinch Face ($11 CAD | 15 mL | 3 coats) is a green jelly packed with gold green blue shifting iridescent flakes. This is the green sister to I Am Not A Prize To Be Won from the October Polish Pickup. It looks so good with a matte top coat. Available December 1 through January 1, 2021.
