Happy July 1st! It's a new month and life keeps marching on however Riley and I are soon going to lose our amazing Grandad who was, for all intents and purposes, our Dad. It seems as though his last days are upon us and while we knew it was inevitable, the reality is still hard to face. He was an amazing Dad and Grandad. I have so many memories of him taking me to the park, flying kites with me on the beach, teaching me to swim, and later in life he was a quiet and strong presence who I knew I could always count on. He has suffered from dementia in the past almost two years since my Nan's passing (though he had been forgetful for many years before that). I would like to think he will be reunited with my Nan and his son (my uncle) Don who passed away almost ten years ago. Life isn't easy and I don't think it's supposed to be. I just wanted to let the world know how amazing my Grandad is and was and always will be in my heart and memories.
