Winter is coming! And that's exactly the theme for the December 2019 Polish Pickup. Sherri was inspired by one of my favorite places to visit in the winter: Niagara Falls! This polish is the perfect representation of those cold months that bring so many special moments that warm you from the inside out. Look at me getting all emotional over a nail polish. Once you see the inspiration, you will know what I mean.
A special note for the December Polish Pickup schedule. It will be different (for this month only). The shop will open at 11 AM EST on Monday, December 2 and close at 11:59 PM on Friday, December 6. The goal is to get packages out sooner before the Holidays.
Paint It Pretty Polish Festival of Lights ($12 USD | 15 mL | 75 cap) is inspired by Sherri's annual family trip to the Niagara Falls Festival of Lights. In her words, "Winter doesn't come until you've visited the Festival of Lights in the Falls." This polish features a baby blue base loaded with iridescent colour-shifting flakes and pink shimmer. The inspiration photo is below and Sherri captured the frosty warmth of the photo so well (yes, I said frosty warmth - you just look at that picture and feel cold and warm at the same time). I wish I could have seen that sky for myself. I am a big Niagara Falls fan. Whenever I visit I feel nostalgic and happy and excited all at once. It's especially magical in the winter. I'm lucky that I'm only a two hour drive away.
As for the polish, the application is very easy in two coats and top coat smooths it completely. It's a lovely polish for the December theme.
Each month, The Pickups will bring you a variety of polishes and handmade items from indie makers based on a theme chosen by customers. The Pickups are live the first Friday at 11 AM EST of each month and the shop stays open for four days through the following Monday at Midnight EST. The polishes and items are exclusive to The Pickups for each month.
All products are pre-ordered (capped or uncapped) and will ship a minimum of 3 weeks after sale commencement. The Pickups ship for a flat fee of $3 in the US and $5 to Canada. Shipping to European countries is available through The Pickups UK website. The Pickups will combine orders placed over the four day sale period. This will happen automatically when shipping begins and you will then receive your shipping overage refunds.
