When did it become July? This summer is moving a bit too quickly for my liking but a new month means a new Paint It Pretty Polish Pretty Polish of the Month. I can't be mad about that, can I? Paint It Pretty Polish is doing a series inspired by birthstones for this year. July's birthstone is Ruby and Sherri created King of Gems as her nail polish recreation of this stone. According to Wixon Jewelers, Rubies are considered the king of gems and represent love, health and wisdom. It is believed that wearing a fine red Ruby bestows good fortune on its owner. A Ruby is the most valuable gemstone and its value increases based on its color and quality. Sherri did an amazing job capturing a rich, deep Ruby in the form of nail polish as you will see in my photos below.
King of Gems will be available in the Paint It Pretty Polish shop from July 1 to August 1 so if you love it, make sure you grab it since it's a limited edition polish as are all the Pretty Polishes of the Month.
Paint It Pretty Polish King of Gems ($11.00 CAD | 15 mL | 3 coats) is inspired by rubies and features a deep red jelly base packed with colour-shifting flakies. The formula is very smooth, squishy and buildable. I absolutely love how the flakes float in the ruby jelly base. This polish is glamourous and rich, just like rubies! It also kind of reminds me of a delicious strawberry jam. You can't go wrong with this gorgeous nail polish so grab it while you can.
