Despite the pandemic and the fact that I barely leave my house, time is still flying. I've been attempting to unplug on weekends and it's one of the best things I can do for myself. The weekends don't fly by like they do when you lock into your phone for minutes at a time. So, in my very scientific study, I've concluded that time feels like it's moving more quickly because of technology. Unplugging has given me more time to tune into nature and be a little more mindful. And that's what the Paint It Pretty Polish Summer 2020 Collection is all about too. Appreciating the little things in summer like rainbow clouds, ocean tides, summer nights and raspberry sunsets. I am absolutely in love with this set of nail polishes and I hope you will love them too. Visit my YouTube channel for a live swatch and review video or keep scrolling for swatches.
The collection launches in the Paint It Pretty shop on July 24, 2020. These are not to be missed, in my humble opinion. Each polish will be $11 CAD which is a total steal for such wonderful nail polish.
Watch my live swatches here:
Paint It Pretty Polish Rainbow Clouds ($11 CAD | 15 mL | 3 coats) is a white jelly base with colour shifting flakes in blue, violet, green, purple, red and orange. I am completely IN LOVE with this nail polish. I love a good white crelly and flakes in the mix just make it all that much better. This will be a repeat wear.
Paint It Pretty Polish Festival of Colours ($11 CAD | 15 mL | 3 coats) is a grape purple jelly base filled with an array of colour shifting flakies in green, blue, teal, purple, orange and yellow. I tried this one matte to see how I would like it and I LOVED IT. The flakes in here are so vibrant and rich. I love the berry tones in this collection. It's a bit unexpected for summer but it works so well.
Paint It Pretty Polish Summer Nights ($11 CAD | 15 mL | 3 coats) is a black jelly base with shifting flakes in teal/violet/purple and green/gold. I love a good black nail polish and this is a black with a definite twist. I found this to be a little bit harder to work with since it was so packed with flakes but it came out well in three coats and the flakies lay smoothly. If you like black nail polishes, this one is for you!
Paint It Pretty Polish Raspberry Sunsets ($11 CAD | 15 mL | 3 coats) is a magenta base with fushia/red/purple and copper/orange shifting flakes. The minute this polish arrived, my sister took it to wear for herself. The squish factor in this polish is real. I love the juiciness of the base because it really does look like raspberry jam on your nails. The flakes really pop and show through the base colour for a beautiful finish.
Paint It Pretty Polish Ocean Tides ($11 CAD | 15 mL | 3 coats) is a blue jelly base with a red/gold aurora shimmer, filled with green/blue and bronze/gold flakes. I feel like my nails are taking a tropical vacation. This nail polish really does feel ocean-like. I love the shimmer and how well it plays with the flakes in this blue base. I am going to wear this again soon for sure.
Have any of these polishes caught your eye? If I had to pick a favourite, I would choose Rainbow Clouds and Ocean Tides. Love those two so much! Across the board, the formulas were excellent. Three coats helped to achieve maximum flakie payoff which is just the way I like it.
