Harlow & Co. has brought a new brand to their shop... Wildflower Lacquer! I actually purchased four of the polishes from the Wildflower Lacquer Fintastic Fall collection and Harlow & Co. was kind enough to send me the other two from the collection to share with you. The collection is available now in limited quantities on the Harlow & Co. website. I am in love with this collection of seasonally appropriate shades. I love the flakes used and they are the same in all six polishes but the way the flakes interact with the bases make each polish a little bit different. Across the board these applied well in three coats because I wanted maximum flake payoff. There are a ton of flakes in here so go slow with your application and try not to take too much on your brush. Know that it will build up in three coats and apply thin layers. Wildflower Lacquer Fairy Codmother ($16.99 CAD | 15 mL | 3 coats) is an avocado lime green jelly based packed with red to gold to green crystal flakes and scattered holo flakes. First things's first: this it the best nail polish name ever. My mom's side of the family is from Newfoundland so fish is a thing. While I grew up eating halibut, the word "cod" was tossed around a lot so I really like the name and SHOCK OF ALL SHOCKS... I like this colour on me! I think it toes the line of green and yellow perfectly for a very unique yet flattering effect. The flakes glow green so it also compliments the base really well.
Wildflower Lacquer Drink Like A Fish ($16.99 CAD | 15 mL | 3 coats) s a wine red jelly base packed with red to gold to green crystal flakies, and scattered holo flakes. Wow! This is rich and juicy. I love this shade of red. It's mostly a true red leaning toward ruby. I'm not sure I'm getting wine from this shade but then again I don't drink wine. A beautiful red polish and the flakes are less obvious in this particular base because it's so rich and pigmented. I did not experience any staining.
Wildflower Lacquer Eel With It ($16.99 CAD | 15 mL | 3 coats) is a deep forest green-teal base packed with red to gold to green crystal flakes and scattered holo flakes. Another beauty but, then again, every polish in this collection is a beauty. I thought this one had so much depth with the flakes and green/teal base. The flakes really glow in this one in particular.
Wildflower Lacquer Fishous Rumors ($16.99 CAD | 15 mL | 3 coats) is a chocolate brown jelly base packed with red to gold to green crystal flakes and scattered holo flakes. While this is described as a chocolate brown base, I would say it appears more of a reddened light brown. Almost rusty. I would say this is one of my top picks from the collection because I have nothing like it and the flakes SUUUUPER pop against this base. So pretty. So autumnal!
Wildflower Lacquer Soul of a Mermaid, Mouth of a Sailor ($16.99 CAD | 15 mL | 3 coats) is a deep plum purple jelly base packed with red to gold to green crystal flakes and scattered holo flakes. This is the one I chose to keep on after swatching and it's the one I was most excited to buy. This purple is so eggplanty and juicy. The flakes look amazing with the base and with a good top coat the finish is so glossy. That's how I like it! An instant fall favourite for me.
Wildflower Lacquer Seas the Day ($16.99 CAD | 15 mL | 3 coats) is a deep navy jelly base packed with red to gold to green crystal flakes and scattered holo flakes. I love this particular shade of blue because it's a little dusty but still vibrant. Perfect for fall. A little deeper than a denim blue and the flakes really show up well here. I love this collection so much. Can you tell?
